WHAT WE BELIEVE ABOUT…
THE BIBLE –
The Scripture is the infallible Word of God. The Bible is inspired by God and the basis for the authority of our lives.
All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness. – II Timothy 3:16
JESUS CHRIST
Christ is the Son of God who became flesh being born of a virgin. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross to pay for the sins of all mankind and rose again ascending into heaven.
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. – Romans 5:8
SALVATION
Salvation is not by our works but simply by faith in Christ. All have sinned and need a Savior. God sent Christ to pay for our sins and all who believe in Him receive the gift of eternal life.
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast. – Ephesians 2:8-9
MISSION STATEMENT
“To see people transformed into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.”
Our purpose of our church can be captured in two key scriptures:
The Great Commandment:
“Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these tow commandments hang all the law and the prohets.” - Matthew 22:36-40
The Great Commission:
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” - Matthew 28:19-20
